What size flag do I need?

For most homes with a 6 ft porch pole, the 3' x 5' is the classic choice - it's our most popular size by far. For in-ground poles, the flag's length should be about one-quarter to one-third of the pole height: a 20 ft pole flies a 3' x 5' or 4' x 6', a 25 ft pole a 5' x 8'. Nylon or polyester - which should I choose?

Nylon is lightweight, dries quickly, and flies beautifully in a light breeze - the best all-around choice for most homes. Polyester is heavier and built for high-wind, harsh-weather locations like coastlines and open plains. If you're not sure, go nylon.

Are your flags really made in the USA?

Yes - truly. Every FlagStars flag is cut, sewn, and embroidered in our own workshop in Ontario, California, by American workers, from materials sourced in the USA. The stars are embroidered, never printed. We're proud to show it: our craftsmanship photos on this page are from our actual production floor.

Can I fly my flag in rain and wind?

Yes. Our flags are made for all-season outdoor use, with double-needle lock stitching, bar-tacked stress points, and a mold-resistant grommet strip. That said, taking your flag in during severe storms will meaningfully extend its life - no flag is hurricane-proof.

How long will my flag last?

With normal use, expect 6-12 months of continuous 24/7 outdoor flying, and considerably longer if flown seasonally or brought in during storms. Sun and wind are a flag's natural enemies - and every flag we make is covered by our 6-month guarantee.
